Multilingual applications
The Photon Application Builder (PhAB) uses a language database to help you translate your applications into other languages. PhAB MultiLingual Applications are applications that have translation files set up for them. When an application has been translated, the translated text strings are stored in a translation file. To run your application in another language, you set an environment variable (ABLANG) before starting the application. See International Language Support in the Photon Programmer's Guide for more information on multilingual applications.
International characters
Photon is designed to handle international characters following the Unicode Standard (ISO/IEC 10646). The Photon Programmer's Guide has an appendix explaining Unicode Multilingual Support.
International time
