19 Third-Party Applications
This chapter covers the following topics:
Introduction
A third party application is a software program created to run under QNX 6 by a company other than QNX. Many VARs, OEMs, systems integrators, and independent consultants offer innovative QNX-based products and services as third party vendors. The QNX web site has a directory of third parties that offer QNX-based products or services (see the Partners page on the QNX web site).
You can get third party application packages through repositories (e.g. TUCOWS) or by obtaining a package of files created by an archiving program such as tar (see the Utilities Reference for information about this utility).
Third party packages should contain all the files necessary for an application to run on RTP.
