setdvdregion

Set the DVD region for a DVD drive

Syntax:

setdvdregion region drive

Options:

region
The desired region:
drive
The drive number. For example, specify 0 for /dev/cd0.

Description:

The setdvdregion utility sets the DVD region on the specified DVD drive.


WARNING: You can change the region on a DVD drive only five times (the first might have been done at the factory). Don't use this utility unless your system administrator authorizes you to do so.

Examples:

Set drive 0 to region 1 (North America):

setdvdregion 1 0
