Set the DVD region for a DVD drive
setdvdregion region drive
- region
- The desired region:
- 1 - North American
- 2 - European/Japanese
- 3 - East Asian
- 4 - South American
- 5 - African/Asian
- 6 - Chinese
- drive
- The drive number.
For example, specify 0 for /dev/cd0.
The setdvdregion utility sets the DVD region on the specified
DVD drive.

You can change the region on a DVD drive only five times (the first might
have been done at the factory).
Don't use this utility unless your system administrator authorizes you
to do so. |
Set drive 0 to region 1 (North America):
setdvdregion 1 0
